According to prosecutors, a man who was charged with attacking actor Steve Buscemi on a street in Midtown, New York, is currently being held on bond.

As the 66-year-old actor, who has starred in hit TV shows including “Fargo” and “Boardwalk Empire,” was strolling around Manhattan on May 8, a random someone punched him in the face, according to the police.

On Friday, following the release of a photo of the suspected attacker three days earlier, the police made an arrest.

According to Buscemi’s representative, the actor was hospitalized for an eye injury but is otherwise well. This confirms the attack.

Per the prosecution’s statement, the 50-year-old male defendant was arraigned on Saturday and released on a $50,000 bond.

A message was left with the local public defender’s office. Thus, it is unknown if the defendant has legal representation. The suspect’s next court appearance is on Thursday.

Although the authorities have not released the identity of the two victims, the criminal complaint states that the suspect punched them during the incident. Reportedly, surveillance footage caught the assault on Buscemi.

Michael Stuhlbarg, who co-starred with Buscemi on “Boardwalk Empire,” was also the victim of an assault in March. In Central Park in Manhattan, the attacker allegedly hit him on the back of the neck with a rock.
