Aaron Taylor-Johnson Addresses Peculiar Fascination: Aaron Taylor-Johnson addresses the persistent rumours about his marriage to filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson—23 years his senior—while the world waits for him to be cast as James Bond.

While filming the 2009 John Lennon biopic “Nowhere Boy,” their paths crossed at an age difference of 18 for Aaron and 41 for Sam. Wylda Rae’s birth in 2010 was the catalyst for their relationship, and they were married in 2012, the same year their second daughter, Romy Hero, was born.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson discussed the public’s fascination with his long-lasting 12-year marriage in an interview with Rolling Stone U.K. “What you gotta realize is that what most people were doing in their 20s, I was doing when I was 13,” he said, reflecting on the situation. He was perplexed and thought it strange that people lived their lives according to the expectations of others.

The actor famous for his parts in “Kick-Ass” and “Nocturnal Animals” has, unsurprisingly, been asked about the age difference repeatedly throughout his career.

When asked about the negative effects of the constant media attention on his relationship, he said, “Having to deal with that early in my career probably got me to a place where I can more quickly just go, ‘Oh, fuck it’ instead of wanting to rip someone’s head off for asking questions I don’t like,” in an interview with Vulture from New York Magazine in 2017.

“I knew I was going to be a young father” he said in an interview with Esquire last year, revealing that having a family at a young age had always been in his plans. It was inevitable that I would have a large family.

During his chat with Rolling Stone UK, he went on to praise Sam Taylor-Johnson’s directing skills, calling his wife “a great filmmaker and a wonderful storyteller.” Her next Amy Winehouse biopic, “Back to Black,” has her full confidence, and he thinks people will be enthralled.

Despite the speculation that he may play James Bond, he chose to keep mum and instead focused on his next action film “The Fall Guy,” in which he stars with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. “I can only really talk about the things I’m going to show and tell,” he commented, underscoring his devotion to his present pursuits.
