For NYFW, EMCEE Partners With These Buzzed About Brands
Dion Lee and LUAR, two highly regarded companies, will collaborate with EMCEE Studios for their New York Fashion Week Fall 2023 shows. Through runway partnerships with Dion Lee on February 10, the first day of the NYFW shows, and LUAR, which closes the week on February 15, the new creator-powered affiliate retail platform will make its official debut during New York Fashion Week.
EMCEE is on a mission to transform the affiliate marketing industry and has pledged to rewrite the book on conventional marketing techniques in favour of a more sincere, open-minded, and inclusive strategy.
Its social commerce model entails curated showrooms for influencer creators that are conversion-optimized, with a single straightforward, shareable url where followers can shop for particular products. CEO John Aghayan claims that commission rates are also significantly higher than rivals.
The goal is to improve relationships between brands and content producers by cutting out steps that are usually unnecessary for affiliate users. For a more seamless customer experience, the platform uses its proprietary technology to combine original creator content with brand product details in a one-page shoppable hub.

For a more seamless customer experience, the site uses its patented technology to blend original creator content with brand product data in a one-page shoppable centre.
Instagram’s decision to scale back its own purchasing functionality in order to concentrate more on video as of last year presents potential for affiliate platforms to fill the gap.
Aghayan claims that Dion Lee and LUAR were chosen for their common commitment to reimagining conventional ideas in terms of both basic beliefs and aesthetics. In the instance of Dion Lee, it was the Australian designer’s underlying themes of regeneration and transformation that won people over, while in the case of LUAR, it was the designer’s intention to democratise access to fashion.
Aghayan claims that collaborating with companies of the stature of Dion Lee and LUAR is the pinnacle of disruptive self-expression. Since EMCEE, like these brands, is at the cutting edge of innovation, these partnerships actually serve as a symbolic beginning and end to EMCEE’s first New York Fashion Week.
Raul Lopez, a creative Dominican-American from New York’s Williamsburg who co-founded the cult-favorite Hood By Air label with Shayne Oliver in 2005, is the man behind LUAR. At the 2022 CFDA Awards, he won Accessories Designer of the Year after launching LUAR in 2017.
His standout piece is the boxy Ana bag, which retails for just under $300 and stands out because to its instantly identifiable looped handle.

Australian-born Dion Lee, who currently resides in New York, established his own label in 2008. He is renowned for fusing fluid day-to-night designs with the corset, which has become his signature.
The popularity of Dion Lee and Raul Lopez’s LUAR on social media is mostly due to their celebrity support. Fans of Lee’s include Hailey Bieber, Cara Delevingne, Megan Fox, and Gigi Hadid, who celebrated her birthday last year while sporting one of their distinctive corsets, which was dutifully documented and shared on Instagram.
According to a spokesman from Dion Lee, “Social media has allowed us to forge relationships with creatives across the globe and share our brand with the widest audience possible.” “It’s also been instrumental to the discovery and building of new relationships and the growth of our community in New York and abroad.”
Regarding LUAR’s Ana, she has appeared on the Instagram accounts of a number of famous people, like Dua Lipa, Trove, Sivan, Julia Fox, and many others.
“LUAR and EMCEE share foundational values of what it means to break down barriers and occupy spaces traditionally reserved for a select few. Our community’s overwhelming support at our past shows has highlighted how limited fashion week can feel to our larger audience – we are hoping to change this,” stated LUAR Director of Business Development, Fidel GomezTorres through email.
In order to democratise access to fashion week, he revealed, “for our AW23 show, we are closing NYFW by extending it over three days of programming, demonstrating intersectionality between fashion, art, and commerce through a range of projects and conversations.” “Given our shared values, it felt right to bring EMCEE into the mix as they understand and speak for the next generation of creatives and retailers.”
EMCEE is curating front-row seats with prominent influencer creators dressed by Dion Lee and LUAR, respectively, as well as presenting an afterparty as part of the NYFW partnerships. Moving ahead, Dion Lee and LUAR will each keep a 12-month partnership with EMCEE and each provide three SKUs in unique colours for sale only on the platform through EMCEE creator influencers.
