Concerns Arise Over Ariana Grande’s: It appears as though Ariana Grande may be suffering from a slight case of accent fatigue.

Do you recall how Austin Butler fought to get rid of the southern accent he used as Elvis Presley in the 2022 film “Elvis”? It took Butler almost two years to overcome the accent, which he had acquired to such an extent.

Because Ariana Grande seemed to be using the same voice for both the upcoming fantasy picture and her presentation at Sunday’s 96th Academy Awards, people now believe that the “Wicked” actress is in a similar bind.

Many on social media pointed out that Grande’s voice sounded remarkably similar to her Glinda voice in the film’s trailer when she and Cynthia Erivo, her co-star from “Wicked,” presented the Best Original Song and Score award.

Her vocal change confused many on X (previously Twitter), with some drawing parallels to Butler’s battle to shed the late Elvis Presley accent he wore in Baz Luhrmann’s film.

At the Oscars, Grande didn’t say if she was trying to sound like Glinda on purpose or not.

The “Victorious” actress has a history of allegations that she has changed her voice. In 2018, she was said to have used a “blaccent” while speaking to the media.

Last month, the “yes, and?” singer discussed her vocal transformations on the “Zach Sang Show,” saying that in order to be ready for the impending “Wicked” film, she had to “completely erase popstar Ari.”

“I trained every day with Nancy [Banks] and with Eric [Vetro] to transform my voice, even — like, my singing voice — everything about me, I had to deconstruct to prove to them I could handle taking on this other person,” she said Sang, praising her trainers in acting and vocal performance.

“I had to entirely remove popstar Ari, the person they know so well, because it’s even more difficult to believe someone as someone else when you’re so branded as one thing,” Grande continued. I had to take the trouble to remove it, so I could attend my callback looking as bad as an eleven-year-old—no makeup, hair down.
