Céline unveils the contours: As a beauty brand, Celine is stepping up its game. The premium brand, which is part of the LVMH group, will debut its cosmetics line in the fall of 2019 after launching its haute parfumerie collection in 2019.

Since Hedi Slimane took over as creative director of Celine in 2018, the label has been constantly pushing the envelope. Similar to its most recent collection, “L’Arc de Triomphe,” which debuted on March 12 in a twelve-minute film showcasing Céline’s cosmetics.

The launch of Céline Beauté, the company’s inaugural cosmetics line, is commemorated in the film La collection de l’Arc de Triomphe, according to the brand’s press release.

The models in the clip use Hedi Slimane’s natural pink “bare skin” tint, which is part of a collection of fifteen lipstick tones that Celine will release in 2025. The “Rouge Triomphe” shade will be released in the fall of 2024. It comes in a golden faceted container that is etched with the brand’s emblem.

Seasonally, Céline releases new cosmetics such lip balms, eye pencils, mascaras, and eyeliners. But Céline isn’t the first high-end label to join the competitive prestige beauty industry. The release of Balmain’s own fragrance has been revealed. The establishment of in-house cosmetics and fragrance divisions by European luxury corporations like Kering and Richemont is a significant trend.
