A Los Angeles Superior Court ruling completing their divorce confirms Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez’s legal separation. With the formal processing of the paperwork on Tuesday, their nearly three-year marriage comes to an end. The 30-year-old pop sensation filed for divorce from her 28-year-old ex-husband, a real estate broker, six months ago, alleging irreconcilable differences. This decision follows her initial filing.

The couple had been living apart for more than a year when the divorce was formally filed, according to court records. Luckily, they had a prenuptial agreement in place and no children, so their divorce was quite amicable and the legal procedure was quick and simple.

Their settlement was finalized in October, and as part of the agreement, Grande gave Gomez a one-time payment of $1,250,000 and half of the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles property. Furthermore, Grande has consented to pay Gomez’s legal fees up to a maximum of $25,000.

They started dating in January 2020, and they were together during the pandemic quarantine. They both made appearances in public that year, first appearing together in the music video for Justin Bieber’s charity track “Stuck With U” in May and then announcing their engagement in December.

On May 15, 2021, the couple got married in a small ceremony at Grande’s Montecito, California, home. Grande is concentrating on her work despite their breakup, having released her seventh studio album, “eternal sunshine,” on March 8. In addition, she will be starring with Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba in the November premiere of the film adaptation of the musical “Wicked,” playing the role of the benevolent witch Glinda.
