In the Autumn/Winter collection of Labrume London 2026, Foday Dumbuya showcases an exploration of cultural dialogue through tailored precision. Through the use of sharply structured outerwear and relaxed tailoring, Dumbuya continues to examine themes of migration, identity and heritage in his designs. The first look featured a double-breasted wool overcoat worn over wide trousers – setting a tone of authoritative control.
The collection remains focused on the importance of tailoring as the foundation. Structural jackets were paired with flowing pieces; traditional business suit fabrics have been reinterpreted into modern cutting styles that look friendly yet professional together. The use of rich earth tone colour palettes (camels, rusts, deep greens and navy) give off much grounding value because they reflect Labrume’s roots of storytelling.
The layering in this collection brings depth to the silhouettes while still remaining simple in the overall appearance. The knitted pieces help soften the rigid structure of those looks and their unique use of colour creates cultural context through their usage of subtle patterns. This will reaffirm Labrume’s strength – through merging narrative content with wearable clothing – in Autumn/Winter 2026.
