Maison Rabih Kayrouz’s approach to Spring/Summer 2026 was one of volume, movement, and a certain level of architectural tension. Rather than embracing the spectacle, the show opened with a quiet confidence, allowing the craftsmanship to shine. Colors were also understated, with soft ivory, muted saffron, pale slate, and sandy tones providing a cohesive look.
The first looks immediately highlighted the designer’s focus on structure. Rounded shoulders and the way the coat seemed to cocoon the body were balanced against the wide, sculpted sleeves, which added a sculptural element to the outfit. Volume and lightness are key to the Rabih Kayrouz aesthetic, with the designer having always been fascinated by the space between the body and the clothes. That philosophy has been continued with the balance between the two.
Fabric has also been key in the collection. Silk gazar, which held up well to the architectural styles, contrasted with the softness of the crepe and chiffon.
Some styles included asymmetrical draping that seemed to be done in an organic manner but was actually precisely constructed. The lack of heavy ornamentation emphasized the cleanliness of the silhouettes, which told a story through texture and proportion instead.
A highlight came with a full ivory gown that included an exaggerated circular skirt, which was structured but balanced by a delicately draped neckline. Another highlight came with a saffron-colored outfit that included wide-leg trousers and a highly structured, folded top that was both modern and couture-inspired.
The show proceeded at a deliberate pace, allowing the viewer to take in the geometry and craftsmanship. Lighting was kept to a minimum, focusing on shadows and structure rather than sparkle. While the collection eschewed theatricality, it did succeed in conveying a sense of cohesive vision: couture not defined by ornamentation, but by expertise in shape and restraint.
Rabih Kayrouz’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection reinforced his status as a designer who interprets couture from an architectural perspective. In a season that seemed to be all about embellishment and drama, his clean-lined minimalism was a breath of fresh air for its clarity and careful construction.
