From the set of Mad Men to the runways everybody is seeing red. Hollywood starlets such as Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Morison sport crimson lips on the red carpets of the Golden Globe Awards. Dior’s Spring 2010 show at New York Fashion Week paraded scarlet lips as part of a very 1940s Hollywood glamour look down the runway.
It’s true there is nothing more seductive then the perfect shade of red lipstick. Carmindy of TLC's What Not to Wear offers some helpful tips on finding your perfect red shade.

If you are:
Light skinned: Look for red's with blue undertones. Try shades of cherry red like January Jones from Mad Men.
Urban Decay's lipstick in Revolution is a great strong red with very slight blue undertones. For more of a subtle hint of firey color try Julie Hewett's Oona. It's a very sheer sexy cherry red stain whichgoes on smooth.
 
Medium skinned: Go for a bright fire-engine red like Penelope Cruz.

Have red hair: You can still wear red lipsticks but look for warm undertones. Try a tomato or brick shade.
